As rounds 3 & 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series rapidly approach, the staff at Speedworld are in full swing, making improvements and preparing for another blockbuster event.  Crews began weeks ago on improvements and upgrades aimed at creating the most comfortable environment possible for race teams and race fans. Among many of the subtle changes, Speedworld has enlarged the V.I.P. RV spaces from 12’ wide to 18’ wide, expanded the pit area to accommodate additional race entries, and added an additional 1,000 seat grandstand along the front straight-away.

With the 2010 season of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series now going strong and the Round 1 jitters left behind, Round 2 was set to go here in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Overnight rain forced the cancellation of Sunday practice and qualifying, and drivers would start in the order they finished in Saturday’s races, save for any inversions drawn by the Saturday race winners. With clouds looming overhead, LOORRS crews worked quickly to get the action underway and moving along quickly, and the strong crowd that braved the inclement weather was treated to some great racing.

After nearly three months of off-season, it was time to catch air, sling mud, and spit flames all over again. Yes, Saturday marked the opening of the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, and all the drivers here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway were anxious to have a crack it this brand new track. With qualifying all finished up, there was nothing left but to race, and everyone wanted to be a winner in the first race of the season. Eleven drivers came out on top in their respective classes, each picking up valuable points in their quests to become 2010 champions.

The 2010 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is upon us! After a last-minute change of venues, the drivers and crews have assembled at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Rounds 1 and 2 of the new season. The paddock is brimming with new teams, new vehicles, and countless drivers just waiting for the chance to break it loose on the new dirt of this new track for the first time. An interesting track layout filled with banked turns, significant elevation change, and  jumps of all sizes would favor those drivers with great technical ability, and all drivers were eager to grab the pole position for the first race as qualifying got underway on Friday afternoon.

On March 6th and 7th , the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will be in Las Vegas, Nevada as the 2010 short course off road racing season kicks off at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With an unprecedented group of entries making their way to Las Vegas for this event, the new track in Las Vegas will host some of the largest fields ever seen on the short course off road racing circuit.
